We're not looking for employees. We're building a network of independent professionals who want steady work on their terms. Here's what that looks like in practice.
No salary. No clock. You earn based on the work you complete. Show up, fix the machine, get paid. Simple as that. No commission structures, no upselling requirements, no performance reviews.
You tell us when you're available. We match you with service calls in your area. Whether you want to work full-time hours or supplement your existing income with weekend and overflow calls, the schedule is yours.
ABT handles customer relationships, dispatch, invoicing, and parts coordination. You arrive with your skills and tools — we hand you the work order and you do what you're good at. No upselling, no quoting, no paperwork on your end.
ABT manages parts supply for scheduled repairs. We work with you ahead of dispatch to ensure commonly needed components are available — reducing return visits and helping you resolve more calls on the first trip.
ABT serves businesses in Florida, Tennessee, Arizona, Oregon, Idaho, South Carolina, and more. If you're in one of our markets — or willing to travel — there's work available. The network grows as we grow.
ABT serves businesses across healthcare, manufacturing, financial services, legal, education, and government. These are professional environments with reliable, recurring service needs — not one-off residential calls.
How It Works
From application to your first service call in three steps. No lengthy hiring process, no corporate red tape.
Complete the application below. Tell us about your experience, the brands you've worked on, your location, and your availability. The form takes about 5 minutes.
ABT reviews your application and follows up within 2–3 business days. Approved technicians complete a brief onboarding — covering our service standards, dispatch process, and documentation requirements.
Once onboarded, you'll begin receiving service call dispatches in your coverage area based on your availability. Accept the calls that work for your schedule. Get paid upon completion.
What We're Looking For
Experience counts. Reliability matters. Everything else we can work with.
Copier / printer experience — hands-on service experience with one or more major brands. Kyocera, HP, Canon, Ricoh, Konica Minolta, Sharp, Xerox, Lexmark all count. Manufacturer training or certification is a plus, not a requirement.
Label printer experience — technicians with Zebra, Honeywell, or SATO experience are in particularly high demand across our manufacturing and logistics accounts.
Reliable and professional — you show up on time, communicate clearly with clients, and represent ABT with professionalism in every business environment, from medical offices to manufacturing floors.
Own transportation and tools — you're mobile, self-sufficient, and equipped for on-site field service. ABT coordinates parts; you bring the expertise and the tools to get the job done.
Strong communication — clients and ABT dispatch need accurate status updates. Ability to document work completed and communicate issues clearly is essential to operating in the network.

Technicians Ask ABT
This is independent contractor work — not a full-time employment position. You operate as a 1099 contractor, choose the calls you accept, and set your own availability. Many technicians in the ABT network work alongside existing jobs or run their own independent service business. If you're looking for a full-time employee relationship, this isn't the right fit — but if you want steady paid work on your terms, it is.
ABT services all major copier and printer brands — HP, Kyocera, Canon, Ricoh, Konica Minolta, Sharp, Xerox, Lexmark — along with label printer brands including Zebra, Honeywell, and SATO. The specific brands you're dispatched for will align with the experience you indicated in your application. You won't be asked to service equipment outside your stated expertise.
Network technicians are compensated per completed service call. Specific rates are discussed during the onboarding process and depend on the type of work, equipment involved, and travel requirements. ABT handles all invoicing to the end client — you invoice ABT for completed calls under your contractor agreement. Payment terms are discussed at onboarding.
Manufacturer certifications are a plus but are not required. Demonstrated hands-on experience matters more than paper credentials. If you can show you know the equipment — through prior employment, independent service work, or training — that's what we care about. Apply and tell us what you know.
ABT's operations team reviews every application. You'll hear back within 2–3 business days. If there's a potential fit for your market and skill set, we'll schedule a brief call to learn more about your background and walk you through how the network operates. If approved, onboarding is straightforward — typically completed in a single session — and you can begin receiving dispatches shortly after.
Yes — apply anyway. ABT is actively growing into new markets and we maintain a waitlist of qualified technicians in areas where we're expanding. If your market isn't currently active, we'll add your application to our expansion queue and reach out when volume in your area justifies bringing on network technicians. The sooner you apply, the better your position when we open your market.
