A Different Kind of Partnership

This is not a traditional sales job.

The ABT Partner Network is designed for experienced professionals who know businesses, understand relationships, and can recognize when an organization needs a better technology partner. You do not need to become a copier technician, write proposals, manage installations, or provide customer support.

Recognize the opportunity. Open the door. Help move the relationship forward.

Advanced Business Technology takes responsibility for the solution itself — from assessment and pricing through contracting, implementation, service, supplies, and long-term account support.

Choose Your Level of Involvement

Two ways to participate.

Some partners simply make high-quality introductions. Others want to actively develop accounts. The ABT Partner Network supports both.

Who Makes a Strong Partner?

Business relationships matter more than copier expertise.

The strongest ABT partners already know how to work with business decision-makers. Prior managed print or office technology experience is valuable, but it is not required if you have established B2B relationships and know how to recognize an opportunity.

Common Questions

ABT Partner Network FAQ

Is the ABT Partner Network a salaried employment opportunity?

No. The Partner Network is designed as an independent, commission-based business development relationship. Approved participants operate under a written ABT Partner Agreement rather than a traditional salaried employment arrangement.

Do I need copier, printer, or IT experience?

No. Prior managed print, office technology, IT, or telecom experience can be valuable, but it is not required. Strong business relationships, credibility with decision-makers, and the ability to identify potential customer needs are often more important. ABT handles technical discovery and solution design.

Can I participate while maintaining another career or business?

Potentially, yes. The program is designed for independent professionals, including people who operate their own businesses or represent complementary products and services. Participants remain responsible for complying with any obligations, policies, non-compete restrictions, or conflicts connected to their other work.

Can I represent other products or services?

Generally, yes. ABT is specifically interested in professionals who already represent complementary B2B solutions. Any direct conflicts or competing offerings are reviewed during onboarding and addressed in the Partner Agreement.

How are commissions calculated?

Commission rates depend on the partner track and the type of business generated. Business Development Partner rates generally range from 5% to 15% of eligible collected revenue, while Referral Partners generally earn 5% on eligible first-year collected revenue from accepted referrals. Final terms, exclusions, and profitability safeguards are documented before onboarding.

Can I earn recurring commissions?

Yes. Qualifying recurring services can generate commissions during the first year and a reduced residual during the second year, subject to the Partner Agreement and continued eligibility of the account.

What does ABT handle after I identify an opportunity?

ABT can handle customer discovery, technical assessment, equipment and solution design, pricing, proposals, contracting, installation, billing, service, supplies, and ongoing customer support. Business Development Partners can remain involved in the relationship without having to become technical specialists.

How are opportunities protected?

Partners register opportunities with ABT. Accepted opportunities receive a defined protection period under the Partner Agreement, provided the opportunity remains active and the partner follows the program's registration requirements.

Which markets is ABT currently prioritizing?

Initial Partner Network recruiting is focused on Greenville and Upstate South Carolina, Charlotte and Western North Carolina, Columbia, Atlanta, and Knoxville. Strong candidates in other U.S. markets are also encouraged to apply as ABT continues to grow.

What happens after I apply?

ABT reviews each application individually. Qualified applicants are contacted for a brief conversation about their experience, market relationships, and preferred level of involvement. If there is a mutual fit, ABT will provide the formal Partner Agreement and onboarding materials.

You already built the relationships. Add another way to create value from them.
